   "親と仲が悪いわけでもなかったんだけど、
   一人暮らししてから実家にはほとんど寄りつかず
   電話もめんどくさいからあんまり出なかった。
   でも母ちゃんはしょっちゅうメールばかりくれた。
   めんどくさいから返信しなかったけど
   些細な日常の話や俺の健康の気遣いなど
   しょっちゅうメールくれてた。
   そんな母ちゃんが手術したと妹から聞いた。
   そんなことひと言もメールに書いてなかったから驚いた。
   急に今までロクに返事もしてこなかったことが後ろめたく感じて
   数年ぶりに実家に帰ってみた。
   嬉しそうに俺を出迎えた母ちゃん。
   ぱっちりとした二重になっていた。"
